Wow! My first ever blog post! I’m not going to lie this is quite exciting…and intimidating. My words are forever being published on the World Wide Web! Mom, you should be proud.
Well first off, I would just like to thank whoever is taking the time to read this; you’re the real MVPs today… sending good vibes your way! After this first post I’m hoping for my blog to be a little less rambling about whatever is racing through my mind and a little more discussing things that people are really interested in. I’m not sure the exact direction I want to take it yet, but I’m willing to go “wherever the wind blows me” - shameless How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days quote for all you Andy Anderson how-to girl fans. Right now I’m thinking study tips, deals for students, easy dorm recipes…things along the lines of college life, but I guess we will see! Each new post can be a surprise for you AND for me! If that doesn’t keep you coming back for more, I don’t know what will.
If you do decide to stick with me for this wild ride – which I truly hope you do – I suppose it might be helpful to know a bit about the caffeine addict that is madly clicking away behind the screen (cough cough that’s me, Mel). I’m currently finishing out my freshmen year at UW-Madison, probably the best place on the face of the Earth – okay I know some may say that’s debatable, but I mean c’mon it’s pretty swell here. My current plan is to major in strategic communications with a certificate in digital studies. I’m not sure exactly what I want to do with that career wise, but I think I still have some time to figure that out. As for right now, I’m just enjoying my time in college. When I’m not studying for my classics midterm or writing papers for my communications course, I like to spend my time online shopping, binge watching House of Cards, and enjoying life in Madison with the fabulous friends I have made here so far. Life is pretty great for this baby Badger, even amidst the stress of midterms and summer job hunting.
With that, I think I’ve finally reached the end. You’re still here? Wow, thanks for hanging with me! It’s been a great time, hasn’t it? I rambled a bit, I know, but I promise that’s a one-time deal. I truly hope you come back for my next post.
Have a fantastic day. Make someone smile. Chase your dreams! As for me, I hear a strong cup of coffee calling my name.
